Joshi says that enterprises use cloud storage to recover from disasters or back up less frequently used data. On-premise storage is used for latency-sensitive workloads. Hybrid cloud storage should be able to serve as a single storage solution for an organization. Joshi points out that hybrid cloud storage is not always possible due to differences in storage architectures and network topologies as well as enterprise policies.
